Woke up on the morning of September 12th, 2019 to go on a beautiful journey.😍💖 That is to climb Mount Hanthana. In the 2019 econ class, we were all excited to climb Mount Hanthana. For the first time in my life, I was going to climb a mountain. So I had a lot of curiosity as well as fear. 🤭🥺❤
We left around 6 in the morning and went to the University of Peradeniya around 9.30 in the morning. After that, we walked a short distance. We arrived at a flat area around 11 p.m. At that place we had lunch.

Because we could not find a suitable place to have lunch again, around 12.15 pm we started climbing the mountain together.
We climbed the mountain in the middle of a beautiful environment. It was a little difficult for us to climb the mountain because of the rainy season at that time.
But as a group, we went to the top of the mountain for fun. On the way, we rested and continued our journey. It is about 17km to the top of Hanthana mountain. After we drove about 12km there was a bit of cold weather.
On the way to the top of the mountain, it was very cold. It was about 7pm when we finished climbing the mountain.

After that, we spent some time at that place and started descending the mountain again. Although it was difficult for us to climb the mountain, we all climbed the mountain together. It was a beautiful journey. Our journey ended at 3 in the morning. That day in my life I will never forget that day. It was a beautiful experience I had. 🥺💖
